It's almost a month late, but here it is! The 10 year anniversary special!

I think some of this has been mentioned before in other milestones (200th and the five year anniversary), but I wanted to expand upon it a bit...probably not all that much.

I'm not sure if Lauren was a redesign of the orphan or if she was initially meant to be a recurring character that took over the orphan's role. And the reason I say that is that after Lauren takes Jix in, the design that originally meant to be the orphan was reused as Lauren's neighbor's kid that Jix scares with her fierce mode early on and she was meant to be the recurring character after that.

Eh...ten years has made me forget a lot of what I had planned out. I really wish I had written some of this down. Personally, I'm glad I went the route I did with this comic.

The reason I haven't done something like this for Dragon City is that Dragon City is essentially what I had envisioned, except Seamus and Emily aren't as prominent as they were originally and Seamus was originally designed to look more like a duck and be nicknamed "Duckie." (I never watched NCIS, but my parents like it and I liked the nickname from one of the characters.) The only other difference is that I had just paired the dragons off and they weren't a married couple until Sam and Rachel entered Chicago in the first comic and I needed a reason for Rachel to be with Sam in her exile from New York.
